The order of sauerkraut overcomes you at the door. Very small place but the wait for a table usually is ok. The tap beer is excellent and the food portions are HUGE. The polka music completes the feeling that you are not in the US any more.

If you like German food, this is the place. Very good! They also have a good selection of sandwiches and such. I drive down here as often as I can (about an hour drive) but well worth it. Draft brews are contract, and they have a wonderful selection of micro and imported bottles, always adding something new. If you are in Peoria this stop is a must!!!

The place is small and very busy, so there are normally long waits. But it is well worth the wait. Their house beers are contract brewed for them.
